Meyiwa the hero as Bucs go through

Two penalties and a red card – all allegedly dubious and with that, Orlando Pirates have defied the odds to reach the group stages of the CAF Champions League despite losing 1-0 to TP Mazembe on Sunday in Lubumbashi.

Bucs progress after winning 3-2 on aggregate.

Pirates captain Lucky Lekgwathi was sent off in the first-half with Pirates officials describing the referee’s decision as a “joke” and as if that was not enough, two penalties were awarded to Mazembe but Senzo Meyiwa was equal to the task on both occasions.

According to Pirates administrator Senzo Mazingisa, the team will be coming back home immediately after the match.

Pirates XI v Mazembe: Meyiwa, Jele, Phungwayo, Lekgwathi, Gcaba, Okonkwo, Masalesa, Bester, Myeni, Segolela, Mbesuma.

Mazembe XI v Pirates: Kidiaba, Kasusula, Kabiona, Kimwaki, Frimpong, Singuluma, Sinkala, Mputu, Kabangu, Samatta, Asante.

This is a stuff of legends.

Can it be our misfortunes throughout the season were so as to get this sweet success.

Bucs you have made South Africa proud and no doubt you now fly the national flag.

So this is how Mazembe have won all those Caf tournaments.

Well done Pirates, guys lets not personalise things ,its the Referee who gave penalties and he is not Congolese,We also got one dubios penalty here as well. The trick in African football is to score many goals at home 3-0 or 4-0 thats all

As South Africans we are on our own in this continent. During the World Cup bid we never received a single vote out of 5 African votes, but we said it is an African World Cup.

Hypocrites are also allowed in the gates of heaven.... so it's fine.... Bask in our GHOSTLY GLORY...!

My dearest Champs, in the midst of celebrations, let's be mindful of the fact that we are no-longer that team from South Africa, we are no-longer that team that humiliated Mazembe, we are no longer that team that walked in the valley of the shadow of death & came out smiling parading a dead Mazembe crocodile by the tail....

We are now a threat to the order on the continent... Its us against Africa, everyone will have it in for us.... We are the new world order on the continent... a badge we wear with much pride...

By-the-way all those 4 stars Mazembe have are fake....! Lost all respect for this team... we can't celebrate a team that works with the mantra of win at all cost...
